Founded by TJ Sigouin, Tradecraft Media is an evolution in technical creativity.
After spending several years in the ski and snowboard industry designing and building terrain parks at Sunshine Village, Whistler, and Sun Peaks Resort, TJ became interested in the many aspects of marketing, which led him to pursue entrepreneurship.
Growing up in Kamloops, BC, TJ noticed many local action sports athletes who weren’t getting the exposure they deserved for what they were doing. He decided to set out on his own to create a website promoting them through photos, videos and interviews. While building out the website, capturing content and working to monetize the site he found himself building websites for several local small businesses. Meanwhile, Facebook and other social media startups began to gain traction which meant his original idea was less relevant since user-generated content enabled athletes to gain exposure on their own.
At this time, he decided to pivot away from this to gain more experience in various new media startups. This included designing and building unique user interfaces for clothing brands, an action sports online streaming channel, digital kiosks, online gaming, and the travel industries.
Blessed with a beautiful wife, wonderful daughter and an adorable dog. There’s really nothing more motivating than looking after the ones you love.
This is the driving force behind Tradecraft Media’s desire to produce high quality content and keep our clients happy.
While happily living and working in Vancouver the global pandemic hits and we’re forced to shut down all parks and schools, etc… This is obviously not a fun time for a 5 year old child without a backyard. Like many others, TJ and his family made the decision to sell their small condo in Vancouver and head out to the Okanagan.
During the process of selling their home TJ realized there would be a great opportunity to include real estate marketing to his online marketing business in the Okanagan.
Today Tradecraft Media provides Video Production, Photography, Graphic Design, Virtual Tours, Web Design and Web Development for businesses of all sizes in the hospitality, retail and real estate industries.
